Visible hands is helping a group of some of the finest musicians and singers from Colombia’s Pacific coast create and produce their second full length album.

Pacifican Power gives greater voice to the Pacific coast region with its largely African-descendant population, and which has historically been socially and politically excluded from much of Colombian politics.

These artists prove the power of a collective voice, united by a shared passion for Afro-Colombian peoples and culture. Manos Visibles is supporting the group in the creation of their latest album.

LA PACIFICAN POWER is a group of musicians from the Colombian Pacific coast, a multi-headed animal with visionary musical revolution in its bowels.

The essence of the group is rumba and improvisation, always keeping our cultural roots and nourishing them with elements of modern music. This is possible thanks to the maturity of our musicians, composers, arrangers, producers, and virtuoso instrumentalists: those who nourish that unique and particular sound. We are a collective that hosts different points of view but with a center of gravity in the music of the Colombian Pacific coast.

Our music is a response to racism, exclusion, classism, violence, misogyny and any negative actions that seek to pass over the heart of the other.
